• 39.0% of individuals aged 10 and over do not read books in 2009.
• 32.3% of individuals aged 10 and over use the internet in 2009.
• 6.1% of the Palestinian households do not monitor the type of programs their children (5-17 years) watch on television in 2009.

More than one third of individuals aged 10 years and over in the Palestinian Territory do not read the books in 2009

On 2 March 2010, Al-Haq participated in a panel set up by BBC Arabic television, discussing the commission of the crime torture by the Palestinian authorities in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip, within the Occupied Palestinian Territory torture.

EUPOL COPPS and the Palestinian Bar Association (PBA) today opened the fifth Legal Library in Hebron. Since the beginning of the year, 4 other legal libraries were opened, in Bethlehem, Tulkarem, Nablus and Jenin, within the framework of a German project.

This German contribution of $100,000 USD to the Justice Sector has been implemented by the Palestinian Bar Association with support from the Rule of Law Section of EUPOL COPPS.
