Taawon Youth Forum for Conflict Resolution

History : 

Taawon was established in 2002, and this is when it started to launch its activities. Taawon’s main activities aim to raise the awareness of young people on effective and peaceful ways to deal with conflict and to develop understanding, respect, and the ability to cooperate with others in a multicultural world. Taawon targets youth in Palestine covering the West Bank and Gaza. Taawon imparts ethical, moral, and philosophical insights into the process of creating peaceful social change. It also focuses its work on integrating concepts of mediation, conflict resolution and peace education in all aspects of youth lives. Through its work Taawon achieved a remarkable relationship with the universities and different youth and civil society organizations in Palestine.

Mission: 

The purpose of Taawon is to promote youth rights involving conflict resolution objectives. The target group is youth from ages 16-30, also including youth with special needs.
