Al-Maqdese for Society Development (MSD) is a non-profit non-governmental organization which was formed in Jerusalem 2007 as a reaction to some academics, doctors, lawyers and many other individuals who are interested in improving Palestinians life’s quality through empowering Jerusalem citizens to face, defend and demand their civil rights, which are violated by the Israeli occupation on a daily basis.
MSD is not affiliated with any political parties, nor that are we a religious based organization. MSD believes that the ultimate weapon is knowledge; ignorance is what we’re fighting.
MSD is seeking to hire someone with the following requirements:
1. B.A. in Sociology/ Social service or psychology.
2. 2 years experience with NGOs.
3. Fluent in Arabic and English both writing and speaking. Hebrew will be an advantage
4. Experience in proposal and report writing.
5. Excellent computer skills.
6. Jerusalem ID.
7. Available driving license will be an advantage but not a must.
To fulfill the following duties: “but not limited to”
1. Assist the PR and Fund Raising Unit in proposal and report writing.
2. Giving lectures in Democracy and human rights fields.
3. Create short/ long terms prevention and awareness program for women, youth, schools and summer camps.
4. Prepare periodical reports and projects proposals when and as needed.
5. Administrative tasks will not exceed 20 % of the vacancy.
