Call for Proposals
The Regional Human Rights and Peacebuilding Fund (RHRPF) is a four year Canadian initiative that will be implemented in the Middle East whereby funds and direct support will be provided to selected local, regional non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and not-for-profit institutions as well as to international organizations with direct and well established partnership with local civil society organizations (CSOs) to implement projects which contribute to reducing human rights abuses, increasing women’s influence as well as to work toward sustainable peacebuilding efforts.
The goal of the RHRPF is to contribute to an environment for peace, stability and respect for human rights, including women’s rights, that is rooted in the values of the Middle East and that conforms to international principles and standards.
This call for proposals invites the above-mentioned organizations in the West Bank and Gaza (including East Jerusalem) to submit proposals no later than July 17th 2009.
