Ahdaf is a Palestinian nongovernmental organization that was established in Bethlehem, Palestine in the 14th of April 2009. Through observation and research, the founder of CR, Mrs. Laila Asfoura realized that there is a need for a change in our society to promote major values for a better life.
Ahdaf's mission is to assist women through knowledge awareness and skills to enable them to face with more confidence the challenges of life, to raise the level of awareness of what is possible and to increase their self-confidence at the social and economic level.
• To organize, train and assist women to improve their economic position through the acquisition of skills in order that they may play a greater role in social life and in the development of their families and communities. • To make people aware of their abilities and to provide training for women so that they can develop income-generating skills leading towards self-sufficiency. • To develop at the individual and group level activities involving arts and crafts so that they may create new designs for their work. This will also require the marketing and selling of these items for the benefit of members. • To acquire technical and financial assistance suitable for different industrial activities for the benefit of those involved in Care and Repair and the local communities. • To enhance community participation in the development of income-generating activities to raise the standard of living for the participants and their families.
