2010-2011
Norwegian People’s Aid (NPA) is a humanitarian organization working in the field of long term development cooperation and emergency relief in more than 30 countries. NPA has worked with the Palestinian organizations since 1987 in the West Bank, Gaza Strip and East Jerusalem.
NPA is guided by the values of national and international solidarity, human dignity and equal rights for all regardless of gender, ability, ethnic origin, religion, age, language, or social status.
NPA is inviting local Palestinian non-governmental organizations for cooperation to alleviate the hardship of Palestinian students and their families suffering in both Gaza Strip and the West Bank. Organizations that are willing to apply should be registered with the Palestinian Authority and should have a minimum of three years experience in working with similar activities.
Sectors of support:
· Support to organize counseling and activity groups for pupils to reduce violence in schools.
· Basic aids for pupils (hearing aids and glasses) to be distributed to pupils in primary and preparatory schools.
· Part of tuition for university students.
· Remedial classes
The application (English or Arabic) should include:
- Full information about the applicant organization including its establishment, board, registration, previous experience in the field, valid email address and phone number and authorized contact person.
- Proposal on one of the above mentioned sectors including title of proposal in both English and Arabic, proposed locations, objectives, target groups and beneficiaries, expected outcomes and anticipated risks.
- Proposed implementation duration and work plan.
- Detailed budget within the range 50,000-90,000 USD
- Only 8 Grants will be approved.
Project duration: Maximum 7 months
