* PFCD Core Programs
PFCD’s core programs consist of initiatives and projects that respond to arousing needs. PFCD’s work represents a dynamic, responsive, and innovative set of opportunities for Palestinian community to achieve positive change and development.
The core programs are:
- Social and Community Service Program
Taking into our consideration the unprecedented poverty and unemployment rate, PFCD decided to adapt this program. The program aims to contributing to the promotion and improvement of the social and community service through the civic engagement. The main elements of this program are serving the local Palestinian community in enduring immense hardship and suffering, sharing in developing the community’s physical and human resources, and providing different social support services and health awareness for children and their families.
- Education and Advocacy Program
An integral part of PFCD’ vision is to build the capacities of youth in general and females in particular. The program aims to contributing to the promotion and improvement of education, civic education, human rights and public awareness. Hence, this program has been developed to provide young generation with experience, proper training and skills as the basis to place them in an effective advocacy citizen rights and democratic values. In addition, enhance their educational and professional abilities to play an active role in the development of the Palestinian community.
- Communication and Cultural Program
PFCD’s commitment to access to information as key motor of promoting its goals reflects its vision in creating a public dialogue. The program aims to contributing to the promotion and improvement of communication, dialog and culture. Therefore, the program offers different means of communication for children and youth to interact positively in their society. It provides access to remote locations and promotes cultural identity, as well as expresses their perspectives of life.
- Information & Research (*Future Program)
PFCD is keen to capitalize its long track experience in serving the Palestinian society and offering public insights and information on various community policies. The program aims to contributing to the promotion and improvement of information dissemination and research with regard to youth and teenagers. The ambition is to create a pole of research and analysis to fit the needs of public and private institutions and support the development process in the Palestinian territories. In this regard, PFCD is seeking, in the near future, to conduct researches, policy papers and focuses reports on several subjects, as well as provide analytical information toward policy makers and interested NGOs at the local and international level.
