NDC is an innovative Palestinian non-profit organization, established in 2006 in response to the need of having a sustainable Palestinian mechanism for providing support to the NGOs sector. NDC empowers Palestinian NGOs to better provide vital services to Palestinians living in the West Bank, Gaza Strip and East Jerusalem, especially the poor and marginalized.

The NGO Development Center (NDC) is an innovative Palestinian non-profit organization established in November 2006 in response to the need of having a sustainable Palestinian mechanism for providing financial and technical support to the NGO sector. NDC is governed by a policy board of directors that is composed of representatives from society experts, NGO networks and unions, academia, and the private sector. It is composed of 13 members elected by the general assembly once every three years.

Shiraa is an independent, non-profit and development Palestinian Association that seeks to achieve community development and strengthen loyalty for a more creative and crisis-free society that will be able to keep up with cultural development through setting up well-planned programs to secure a better future characterized with justice, democracy and respect for human rights.

Al-Ihsan Charitable Society in Hebron was established in 1983. The purpose behind the foundation of this Society was to care for the old, male and female, who have no supporters to aid them. Another objective was to take care of the disabled children from 3-12 years.

Established by the NGO Development Center (NDC), the Palestinian NGO Portal (Masader) is the first and unprecedented NGO Portal in Palestine and in the Arab world. Masader specializes in serving and empowering the NGO sector in terms of assisting NGOs in overcoming geographic limitations and providing them with opportunities for communicating amongst each other and among other relevant parties. Through Masader, member NGOs are able to publish and exchange their achievements (e.g. projects, studies, researches, proposals, administrative and financial reports, etc.).

For 60 years, UNRWA has worked in close partnership with Arab host and donor countries to cope with the human consequences of the flight of Palestinians from their homes in Palestine – the dislocation, the frustration, the anguish and the pain, but also the resilience, the fortitude and often the achievement against odds, especially in the areas of education, primary health care, humanitarian relief and human development. The purpose of this booklet is to highlight some aspects of Arab-UNRWA cooperation, the extent and importance of which is often not fully recognized.
