About

The Saint Georges School, founded in 1899, is affiliated with the Arab Evangelical Episcopal Church, the school is situated in a strategic location in the heart of Jerusalem, accessible by public and private transportation at close proximity to cultural, touristic, historic and religious areas. This prime location highlights the necessity to keep the continuity of the school.
Moreover, it is worth mentioning that the school building holds a cultural, historical, and artistic value. It represents a number of components of the national identity of the Palestinian people along with its history and civilization.
The school is open to all students and is not limited to a specific neighborhood or group of society. Thousands of students Arabs, Palestinians and Jerusalemites graduated from this school with excellent educational acumen in science, culture and life skills, which enabled them to achieve remarkable success in various aspects of their lives.
The common factor which holds the students together at Saint George’s school is that they are all Palestinians living under Israeli occupation. The school reinforces the sense of belonging to a nationality, which was wronged and mistreated for decades. The system of education, incorporates elements of our cherished Palestinian culture and history. It also encourages the students’ connection to their native language through teaching them poems and novels which capitalize on their heritage and transition.
The management of the Saint Georges school is working hard to develop the capacity of teachers and school facilities, in order to ensure continuity and provision of quality education, graduating outstanding students. In addition to the different extracurricular cultural activities, such as, drama, folkloric dance (Dabka), drawing, decoration, creative writing along with all forms of sporting activities.
