Executive summary: 

Under the project titled  “Socio-Economic Empowerment of the Poor and Vulnerable in Beit Duqqo and Surrounding Villages in North West  Jerusalem,” the Youth Development Department/Arab Studies Society  aims to empower the poor and marginalized families in Beit Duqqo and surrounding villages  to withstand the obstacles forced upon them by the Israeli Occupation, particularly those of confiscating agricultural land and the Separation Barrier.   Through supporting community members, particularly youth, in investing in their agricultural lands and capabilities, the project hopes to enhance the livelihoods of residents and enable them to market their products locally.
