The headquarters of the Palestine Red Crescent Society – General Administration in Al-Bireh witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Palestinian Society for Bleeding Disorders (PSBD) and Palestine Avenier, marking the conclusion of this week’s field visit by the Italian Haemopal project delegation to Palestine. The ceremony was attended by a number of hemophilia patients from the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.
Mr. Ashraf Abu Jaafar, Secretary of the Palestinian Society for Bleeding Disorders, affirmed that this memorandum aims to strengthen institutional cooperation between the two organizations and to unify local and international efforts to defend the rights of hemophilia and bleeding-disorder patients in Palestine, within a unified national framework that contributes to improving the quality of services provided to them.
The agreement was signed on behalf of the Palestinian Society for Bleeding Disorders by Dr. Ali Abd Rabbo, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors, and on behalf of Palestine Avenier by Ms. Rula Maalouf, International Relations Coordinator.
Mr. Jad Al-Tawil, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Palestinian Society for Bleeding Disorders, expressed his appreciation for the active partnership with the Italian side. He noted that, in coordination with Dr. Azzam Al-Shawa, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Palestine Avenier, the necessary procedures will soon be completed to sign the detailed operational annex that outlines the mechanisms of cooperation, ensuring that Italian expertise is fully utilized in developing care services for patients with bleeding disorders in Palestine.
