  1. REGISTER HEREhttps://elearning.un.org/
  2. APPLY HEREhttp://bit.ly/23PalTraining

Deadline is 30 March 2023

The training programme was established in 1995 following the adoption of a resolution by the United Nations General Assembly requesting the United Nations Department of Global Communications to provide assistance to the Palestinian people in the field of media development.

Each year since then, Palestinian media practitioners representing print, audio-visual and online media have participated in this programme.

The main objective of the program is two-fold: to expose the media practitioners to the work of the United Nations, especially its various activities and programs affecting the lives of the people in the region; and to provide hands-on training to improve their professional skills.

The journalists attend briefings by senior officials of the United Nations, interact with representatives of UN programs and specialized agencies, and participate in different meetings with media experts, policymakers, media industry leaders, think tanks, and governmental and non-governmental organizations and agencies.

In addition, in the course of the programme, the journalists attend specially designed skills workshops on the relevant training course of the year.
