About
The Palestinian Shippers' Council (PSC) represents the Palestinian Shippers, importers and exporters, the local industries as the end-users of maritime shipping, air freight and land transportation, and the Palestinian institutions that are attentive to trade facilitation issues.
History
The Palestinian Shippers Council was established in 2006 to represent the Palestinian importers and exporters and support them to reduce the transaction cost through raising awareness on the supply chain.
The Council is the leading Palestinian institution in trade facilitation, that provides technical, legal, and training services to individuals and institutions from the trade sector; and seeks to contribute to the development of the Palestinian economy, through providing specialized studies, expanding, and facilitating trade, in addition to increasing the awareness in the laws and policies that govern and impacts the Palestinian import and export, and industrial sector.

To be a state-of-the-art institution turned to realities on the ground, responding to the needs of its members and representing their interests, and working towards facilitating diversifying, and expanding Palestinian trade. This includes upgrading trade-related infrastructures, and promoting a coordinated and coherent approach to trade facilitation. Mission
Mission
• To represent and protect the interests of Palestinian Shippers (importers and exporters) and industries, in dealing with different government authorities, locally and internationally.
• Maintaining an ongoing dialogue on trade and shipping related issues with relevant national and international governmental and non-governmental institutions.
• Working to obtain competitive costs and favorable conditions for Palestinian Shippers.
• Raise awareness about regional and international developments.

Objectives
The main objectives of PSC are to:
1. Logistical and Technical support.
2. Comprehensive legal and consultancy services
3. Trainings, raising awareness, and capacity Building in the area of trade, particularly in shipping and enhancing
trade capacities.
