On Thursday, September 4, 2025, the Fares Al-Arab Foundation for Development (FAFD), in cooperation with the Danish Refugee Council (DRC), carried out a field visit to several displacement sites in the southern Gaza Strip, including Ard Al-Asima and Ard Abu Shaaban camps in the Middle Governorate.
The visit was attended by Mr. Travis and Eng. Ahmed Mansour from DRC, as well as Ms. Maryam Al-Qudra and Eng. Abdelkarim Mushtaha from FAFD. The teams met with camp officials to discuss urgent shelter site needs amid the growing influx of displaced families from Gaza City, focusing on improving basic services and enhancing camp environments to preserve residents’ dignity and alleviate their daily suffering.
Both teams reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening coordination and joint efforts to deliver more effective and sustainable humanitarian interventions under the project “Integrated Humanitarian Response to Address Basic Needs and Protection Risks in Palestine.”
